How It Works
Four simple steps that turn a scary unknown into something your child has already done once before.
Step 1
Read
A storybook starring your child walks through a full dentist visit before it ever happens for real.
Your child's best friend, who has been before, tells the story of their visit (the waiting room, the spaceship chair, X-rays, the tickly brush, meeting the dentist) while your child pictures each step in a thought bubble.
Step 2
Explore
Every page of the book has a QR code that opens its activities: something to try with the kit, questions to talk about, and the feelings and smells to expect.
In the app, the X-ray page becomes a pretend X-ray session with the practice model. Short videos of each step are being filmed now.
Step 3
Practice
Kid-safe versions of the real tools let your child rehearse each step on their very own practice model — the same clinical standard as our professional models.
Practicing on a model first turns the chair-side unknown into something they've already done.
Step 4
Earn
A medallion, bracelet, and frameable certificate celebrate how brave they were — a real keepsake for a real accomplishment.
The goal isn't just getting through the visit — it's building a memory of having been brave.
For grown-ups
Brave Smiles is in active development. The story covers a whole first visit, from the waiting room through X-rays, checking teeth, cleaning and fluoride to meeting the dentist — join the waitlist to hear the moment the full kit is ready.
